Two device concepts for different race-day scenarios: a fully equipped fixed reader and an ultra-mobile field unit.

IBEX ONE

  • • Multi-antenna UHF Gen2 (RAIN RFID) readers for high reading speed
  • • 12 V DC power via adapter or battery, with more than 8 hours of battery operation
  • • Suitable for outdoor field use
  • • Standard SMA connectors for external antennas, with up to 4 external antennas
  • • Optional integrated internal antenna for easy participant chip assignment
  • • Inbuilt LTE connection for live data transfer
  • • Data backup and buffering if internet connectivity is lost
  • • MQTT data transfer

IBEX FREE (IBEX 3)

  • • Concept RFID reader built for full mobility
  • • Can work both offline and online
  • • Internet connection via the user's mobile phone hotspot
  • • Available in single antenna port or 4 antenna port versions
  • • Optional integrated antenna with limited reach of up to 50 cm
  • • Up to 4.5 hours on the internal battery at 80% power reduction
  • • Up to 3.5 hours on the internal battery at full power
  • • Additional power bank can extend runtime far beyond that
  • • Below 1 kg weight and compact size make it ideal for measuring remote checkpoints
  • • Suitable for intermediate checkpoints with low chip density

About us

IBEXORA is a small founder-led engineering company focused on reliable RFID systems for real outdoor events.

I grew up close to the Alps (Tirol) — that background shaped how I build devices: simple setup, robustness, and honest testing.

The main product is race timekeeping, but I’m open to custom solutions. If you have a specific scenario, I can prototype, test, and tailor the system for it.
